KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian's home improvement retailer, MR D.I.Y. Group (M) Berhad has been honoured Company of the Year (Home Improvement Retailer) for the largest reach-outs for community, environment, and workplace initiatives in the Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards 2023.
The award, organised by 'CSR Malaysia' an initiative of Pertubuhan Amal Tanggungjawab Kemapanan Dan Korporat Malaysia (a national body for Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility), aims to honour outstanding Malaysian corporations that have excelled in the role of change agents in the socio-economic and environmental transformation of Malaysia. Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Datuk Sri Nancy Shukri, presented the awards in appreciation of their efforts and achievements.
Accepting the recognition, the MR D.I.Y. Group's chairman, Datuk Azlam Shah Alias, said "At MR D.I.Y., we believe in the power of responsible business practices to shape a better future for all. This recognition validates our commitment to driving positive change in the communities we serve, fostering a greener environment, and maintaining a supportive and inclusive workplace. We thank the organising committee and the panel of judges for recognising our efforts."
At the Sustainability and CSR Award, 55 companies and six outstanding personalities were recognised in 61 categories, and MR D.I.Y. is the sole winner of the Company of the Year [Home Improvement Retailer] largest reach-outs for community, environment, and workplace initiatives category.
