KUALA LUMPUR: A pedestrian had his handphone snatched by a motorcyclist near Pasar Seni recently.

In a video posted by X app user @ckinasikin, the incident, which was recorded on the dashcam of a passing car, happened at noon on Saturday.

"A snatch-theft incident in Kuala Lumpur near Pasar Seni on June 8, at noon.

"To the victim, I have the dashcam recording of the incident. Please contact me if you need it."

In the video, the pedestrian was seen using his phone while resting his hands on a roadside barrier.



At the same time, a motorcyclist made his way to the pedestrian and snatched the phone before fleeing.

The pedestrian was seen chasing after the motorcyclist, but the motorcyclist had escaped between cars.

Netizens were furious about the incident.

Some believed the pedestrian was a tourist.
