KUALA LUMPUR: A video depicting indecent behaviour of a man believed to be relieving himself in between two parked cars at an alley has drawn the ire of netizens.

The incident, which was captured by the dashboard camera of a vehicle at the location showed the man casually lowered his trousers before defecating behind a blue Perodua Ativa.

Wei Yang, the person who posted the video on the Dashcam Owners Malaysia Facebook Group said the man acted like it was a public toilet.

It is believed that the incident had happened in Bukit Indah, Johor.

"Acting like it's a public toilet. He defecated in front of my car."

Towards the end of the viral clip, the man was then seen being confronted by an individual off-camera before heading off down the alley.

The man's actions drew reactions from netizens, as they shared their reactions in the comments section.

"No civic consciousness, what about common sense? Also none.

"(He) could just go to a restaurant or a coffee shop to use the toilet," said Facebook user Andrew Chin.

Meanwhile, another user, Nasrul Haq, calls for the authorities to take action against the man before it escalates.

"Oh my…defecating in public is one problem, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness is another.

"(I believe) the man is not intoxicated but perhaps he has some kind of mental illness. I hope the authorities can do something before it turns sour."

Meanwhile, Iskandar Puteri district police chief Assistant Commissioner Rahmat Ariffin said there were no reports on the alleged incident at press time.

He, however, said anyone who exhibited any indecent act or behaved in an insulting manner could be charged under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 (Revised 1987).

He advised members of the public to refrain from resorting to any sort of insulting behaviour, including using indecent or insulting words, languages or gestures, and could be fined up to RM100 for the offence.
