KUALA LUMPUR: Police have wrapped up their probe into the sexual harassment case involving former Community Communications (J-KOM) Department director-general Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff.

Federal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said the investigation papers have been completed and were submitted to the Attorney-General's Chambers on Dec 18 last year.

"At the moment, these investigation papers are still under consideration and review by the AGC," he told Berita Harian.

On Dec 14, Mohamad Agus was summoned to the Kajang district police headquarters to provide a statement to assist the police investigation into allegations of sexual harassment against him by J-KOM staff, Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani, 33.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, had previously confirmed that the police were investigating the incident, which allegedly took place a hotel in Bintulu on Oct 21.

The investigation was conducted under Section 354 of the Penal Code for outraging modesty and Section 377D of the same act for offences against decency.

The investigation was initiated after Abdul Wahab filed a report at the Kajang police station on Nov 30.

Police had previously investigated a viral video of explicit conversations allegedly involving Mohammad Agus and Abdul Wahab.

Following that, Mohammad Agus resigned from his position. He claimed that the video implicating him was fake and edited by irresponsible parties.
