PAGOH: Many organisations stepped forward to help out in the floods which affected parts of the country recently.

One of them is Prihatin Johor with volunteers travelling to several areas in Selangor and Pahang to help those affected.

They distributed food and helped clean up homes and public areas in Mentakab and Temerloh in Pahang, and Sg Lui, Dengkil, and Hulu Langat in Selangor.

"We managed to cover many areas during our relief mission," said Suri Prihatin chairman and Srikandi Pagoh chief Janariah Abu Nawan.

Volunteers moved damaged furniture and cleaned up mud-filled premises.

In their journey from Pagoh to Temerloh, they had to brave heavy rain and make several detours to reach SMK Temerloh Jaya. Fortunately, they had help from a local Felda team.

Temerloh and Mentakab were the two hard hit areas in Pahang selected by the Prihatin Johor squad to be given assistance.
