KOTA TINGGI: The floods in Johor claimed its first two victims today.

Two teenagers aged 15 and 19 drowned near Kampung Perpat in Kuala Sedili here at 1.35pm.

The victims who were unrelated were casting nets to fish in the floodwaters.

District police chief Superintendent Hussin Zamora said the victims' bodies are at the Kota Tinggi Hospital Forensic Department to undergo a post-mortem examinations.

He said police do not suspect foul-play in the teens' deaths.
