KUALA LUMPUR: Sprinter Azeem Fahmi clocked 10.55s to finish second overall in the men's 100m heats at the Asean University Games (AUG) in Surabaya on Tuesday.

Former world junior champion Lalu Muhammad Zohri of Indonesia clocked the fastest time of 10.41 in the heats.

Another Malaysian, Fahimi Aliff also qualified for the final by clocking the fifth fastest time.

The final will be held later today.

Meanwhile, Queenie Ting won the women's discus event with a distance of 45.23m.

Indonesia's Nur Aini Wahyu (43.14) and Maria Aviliationo (42.47) bagged silver and bronze, respectively.
