KUALA LUMPUR: Police will submit the investigation papers related to the Dubai Move, aimed at ousting the government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, to the Attorney-General's Chambers (A-GC) today.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said they would await further instructions from the A-GC for any subsequent actions.

"The investigation papers will be referred to the A-GC on Jan 16 (today) for review and further directives.

"For now, no other individuals have been summoned to provide statements, apart from the four individuals we called in earlier," he told Berita Harian.

Meanwhile, he said that as of yesterday, the total number of police reports received nationwide regarding the case remained at 145 reports.

On January 9, Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said police will summon three social media influencers, namely Badrul Hisham Shaharin, also known as Che'Gu Bard, Wan Muhammad Azri (papagomo) and Salim Iskandar, to give their statements regarding the matter.

Razarudin said an investigation paper had been opened after 43 reports were received and the case was investigated under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and Section 505(B) of the Penal Code.

The police initiated an investigation paper under Section 124(c) of the Penal Code for attempting activities detrimental to parliamentary democracy, with political activist Raja Petra Kamarudin, as the main suspect.

Yesterday, Razarudin also said that they would refer to the A-G's office to determine the next steps in the investigation against blogger Raja Petra, as the political activist is currently in London.

This is because, he said, Raja Petra is not only needed in this case, but several investigation papers have also been opened against him before.
