KUALA LUMPUR: Regional powerhouse Thailand have moved into the top spot in the Phnom Penh Sea Games medal standings after amassing 40 gold, 30 silver and 45 bronze in the competition so far.

Vietnam are a close second with 39-39-46 while hosts Cambodia, who had led the competition over the first two days, are now third on 39-39-39.

Philippines (25-39-42) and Indonesia (25-22-52) are fourth and fifth while Singapore (20-15-18) and Malaysia (15-15-32) remain sixth and seventh.

Myanmar (11-8-28) and Laos (5-9-30) are eighth and ninth while Brunei (0-1-2) and Laos (0-0-1) bring up the rear.
