KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Tigress lost their fourth consecutive match at the Valencia Olympic Qualifier when they were beaten 3-0 by South Korea in a 5th-8th Classification match today.

Coach Nasihin Nubli's team will now either play Canada or Ukraine in the 7th-8th classification on Saturday.

Tigress held on until the 33rd minute before Koreans Cho Hyejin, Lee Yuri (46th) and Park Seungae (54th) got their act together.

The good from this match was that of the 10 penalty corners won by Korea, Malaysia managed to stop eight.

Earlier In Group A, Malaysia lost 7-0 to Spain, 3-0 to Canada and 8-1 to Britain.

The Malaysia Hockey Confederation had fielded a 90 per cent Under-21 team with an eye to develop them for a podium finish at the 2026 Japan Asian Games.
