KUALA LUMPUR: The Speedy Tigresses are out of the running for a Paris Olympic spot following their second consecutive defeat in the Olympic Qualifier in Valencia, Spain, on Sunday.

The Malaysian women lost 3-0 to Canada, a day after their 7-0 thrashing by hosts Spain.

Canada scored through Sara McManus in the third and 45 minutes and Thora Rae (22nd).

Malaysia will complete their Pool B campaign against favourites Britain on Tuesday.

"We made a mistake which led to Canada's first goal, and we could not recover from that. Canada have played at the World Cup level while we are still building a team.

On the match against world No. 7 Britain, Nasihin said: "It will be our toughest match in the tournament.

"The matches here will toughen up our players. As I said, I am building this team for the future," Nasihin added.
