KUALA LUMPUR: National coach Kim Pan Gon denied a report claiming he is planning to resign as the Harimau Malaya coach.

"I deny ever sending a letter to the FA of Malaysia (FAM) regarding my intention to leave the Harimau Malaya squad," said Pan Gon in a statement posted for FAM's Facebook page today.

"The story, quoting a source, is inaccurate because I did not send any letter regarding the matter.

"I immediately contacted FAM president Datuk Hamidin Amin to explain, and I personally assured him that my mission with Harimau Malaya is not done yet. I will not leave this team just like that.

He added: "I am committed to guiding Harimau Malaya until my contract expires at the end of 2025.

"The mission is to help Malaysia qualify for the third round of the World Cup qualifiers.
