KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Oil & Gas Corporation Bhd’s subsidiary, UMW Offshore Drilling Sdn Bhd, has been awarded a US$51.3 million (RM162.62 million) contract by PTTEP International Ltd for the provision of drilling rig services in Myanmar, The company said the deal is for Block M3 Appraisal Drilling Campaign 2014, located within the Gulf of Mottama, Union of Myanmar. “The provision of the drilling rig services is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group for the financial years ending December 31 2014 and December 31 2015,” it said.
