PUTRAJAYA: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin broke fast with more than 1,000 Education Ministry staff and related stakeholders tonight.

Also present were Second Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh and Education deputy ministers P. Kamalanathan and Datuk Mary Yap Kain Ching.

Muhyiddin, who is also the Education Minister, presented Ramadhan goodies including books to 80 poor pupils from four schools under the Kumpulan Wang Amanah Pelajar Miskin programme.

The pupils were from Sekolah Kebangsaan Dengkil, SK Bukit Tampoi, SK Cyberjaya and SK Sg Merab Luar.

Muhyiddin later performed Maghrib, Isya' and Tarawih prayers with the guests.
