PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim broke fast with 200 media practitioners at Seri Perdana here today.

A total of 200 print, electronic and online media practitioners from over 70 local media agencies, including Sabah and Sarawak, local and international media clubs, and media veterans were celebrated at this event.

The Prime Minister also handed contributions to 20 media personnel and former personnel who are experiencing health challenges and disabilities.

The contribution was from the Tabung Kasih@Hawana and Perbadanan Nasional Berhad (Pernas).

This breaking of fast event with media practitioners is an annual event organised by the Prime Minister's Department aimed at supporting and appreciating media personnel who work tirelessly to deliver the latest news to the public, while fostering camaraderie.

Also present were his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil, Media Prima Group chairman Datuk Seri Dr Syed Hussian Aljunid, Media Prima Group managing director Rafiq Razali, Group Managing Editor Datuk Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman and New Straits Times Group Editor Farrah Naz Karim.
