THE Straits Times Index (STI) ended 7.88 points, or 0.24 per cent, lower to 3,275.46 yesterday.

The FTSE ST Mid Cap Index declined 0.06 per cent and the FTSE ST Small Cap Index rose 0.09 per cent.

Of the active stocks, SIIC Environment lost 9.94 per cent, UOB shed 1.28, DBS fell 0.35 per cent, Ezion retreated 3.38 per cent while, SingTel was unchanged.

The outperforming sector, FTSE ST Health Care, added 0.56 per cent.

Of its two biggest stocks, Raffles Medical Group gained 1.84 per cent and Biosensors International Group dipped 0.53 per cent. Agencies
