KUALA LUMPUR: Despite limited means, an elderly couple went to great lengths to ensure their special needs child could experience the joy of Raya like everyone else.
A touching video capturing the couple meticulously tallying their grocery expenses recently has deeply touched many hearts after it was shared on TikTok.
In the video, the elderly couple can be seen diligently using a mobile calculator to track the price of each item they select, occasionally returning some goods believed to be beyond their budget.
The TikTok user, who posted the video, said the couple were purchasing ingredients for Raya delicacies for their special needs child. The video has since garnered over two million views.
The video ended with a heartwarming moment where the user approached the couple as they were about to pay, offering them a contribution. Moved by his gesture, the couple prayed for the TikTok user's well-being.

"I once witnessed a similar scenario where the couple whom I followed kept on taking stuff and then they returned. I cried.
"When I noticed their rundown motorbike outside, I approached them and offered what assistance I could.

"This Pak Cik who has insufficient money was rifling through his wallet for more money.
