KOTA KINABALU: The Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry has allocated RM360,000 for the 2024 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Fiesta (STEM Fiesta 2024).

The funds will be distributed to all district education offices.

Sabah Education director Datuk Raisin Saidin said each district education office would receive RM15,000 compared to RM10,000 given out last year.

"I believe the increased funding for the STEM Fiesta this year will enliven STEM subjects among children.

"With this, we hope to attract more students to take up STEM subjects," he said at the Ramadan charity event and iftar organised by the ministry.

Assistant Minister Datuk Harun Durabi also presented donations to 30 students of Madrasah Tahfiz Al-Quran Al-Karim Kampung Benoni.
