PETALING JAYA: A young woman, believed to be an Indonesian national, was found dead on the fifth floor of block 5, Desa Mentari here today.
Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakrudin Abdul Hamid said police received a report regarding the incident at 6.30am today.
He said a police party found a woman, believed to be in her early 20s, sprawled in a pool of blood at the lift staircase of Block 5 in Desa Mentari.
He said the injuries on the victim could not be determined yet and police were waiting for a report from the forensics team from the Selangor contingent police headquarters.
"So far we have not identified a suspect. We urge for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward to assist in investigations.
"We will also check the closed-circuit television camera footage and question those living in the area," he told Harian Metro.
