IN a day and age where society is moving towards empowering women, there is an urgent need for transparent conversation on this matter.

TV3's newest talk show, Women Talk, is all about women and features a roundtable discussion.

There will be 13 episodes of the show, which will include interviews with guests who will talk about contemporary women's subjects and challenges while providing their perspectives.

Topics covered include recognising Malaysian women's triumphs, preventing sexual harassment, ensuring the safety of women and children during vaccinations and booster doses of Covid-19, the role of women in the business world, prominent female politicians, financial safety and spotting sexual predators around young children.

The first episode, which premiered on TV3 last Saturday, featured Datuk Nicol David and  United Nations representative in the Netherlands Datuk Noor Farida Ariffin, discussing the topic "Celebrating the Victory of Malaysian Women."

It discussed Datuk Nicol David's numerous victories in the world arena during her squash career, as well as the incredible unmatched record she created and how she continues to inspire young people.

Datuk Noor Farida Ariffin, a well-known female figure who speaks out on current affairs and has been in the civil service for 36 years, highlighted some of her personal triumphs during the talk show as well.

Shahila Shah, the chief producer, was joined by producers Datin Elaine Daly, Said Thani and Farrah Naz Karim during the production press conference. Also in attendance were Deborah Henry and Zoraya Vadillo as co-hosts.
