KUALA LUMPUR: National coach Kim Pan Gon confirmed that defenders Matthew Davies and Junior Eldstal did not travel with his team to Muscat on Sunday for the World Cup qualifier against Oman.
Davies and Eldstal of Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) failed to report for centralised training on March 15 after sustaining injuries during a training match the day before.
JDT attached the injury reports with the official letter.
The club requested both players to be exempted from centralised training to undergo rehabilitation.
Harimau Malaya will play Oman in a Group D World Cup qualifier on Thursday.
Malaysia are at the top of Group D with six points.
Only 24 players travelled to Muscat on Sunday.
