JOHOR BARU: Pakatan Harapan (PH) and its new political ally, Barisan Nasional (BN), have been put to task for linking Perikatan Nasional (PN) with "Langkah London", an alleged move to topple the unity government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Johor PN chief Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal said his coalition had decided to be a good opposition yet was still being criticised.

"We have been linked to the alleged London Move. It's like they are afraid of their own shadow and want to cover up their failed Kinabalu Move."

He said the prime minister's 50 days in office were nothing to shout about.

"I do not see efforts by the prime minister and PH to realise the 10 promises it offered the people in GE15. To say less about BN's pledges.

"People are still burdened by cost of living issues, they are still calling for the government to approve targeted Employees Provident Fund withdrawals .Why is that?" he said today, as he listed the prime minister's failures in the eyes of the opposition.

The former Johor menteri besar said there seemed to be no end to food shortages.

Sahruddin said though the government decided to import eggs to meet market demand, the real issue was solving problems domestic producers were facing.

He said Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli had yet to present a winning formula that could restore funds in people's pockets since he had landed the job.

"While waiting to see us stand down, do not be the one who falls."

He also pointed out discrepancies in the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project.

"The former BN minister said the final cost was finalised at RM50.27 billion. The prime minister said it was RM74.96 billion. It has decreased compared to the original cost of RM85.97 billion. So, who is telling the truth and who is lying?"

He said while Anwar had pledged to lower petrol prices, this had yet to happen.
