KUALA LUMPUR: A plate of chicken rice at RM3.95?
Yes, Facebook user Low Jun Meng recently shared that a plate of chicken rice is priced at RM3.95 and you can find it in Setapak.
In his post, Low praised the shop's owner for selling the meal at such an affordable price.
"RM3.95 for a plate of chicken rice. This kind of stall owner must be protected and supported so that they can continue to survive.
"Do not let them become extinct," he wrote, accompanied by a photo of a plate of chicken rice.
In his post, he also wished the owner of the shop good health.
In the comment section, social media users praised the owner of the shop for selling chicken rice at such a low price.
User Ng Siew Tze said: "Many sellers who are selling it between RM8 and RM9 as they will go out of business if they do not increase the price.
"Yet, this shop is able to sell it for less than RM4 and has not gone out of business."
Previously, a Chinese-daily China Press reported that the stall owner decided to maintain the price, despite the inflation.
This, as the Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology is nearby and by doing so, the students can enjoy the meal at a lower price.
