KUALA LUMPUR: Images and videos of the flooded IOI Mall Puchong here are going viral, with mall workers seen were working hard to sweep away the waters.

The viral video was shared by Facebook user Myo Alis at Taman Mas, Puchong Facebook page, with water was believed to have risen to ankle-high.

Some netizens expressed shock over the situation, while others shared some images of the severe flood in the area earlier today.

"If the water rose up to this, then the parking (area) is even worse," said Facebook user Nora Ahmad.

Another netizen said he was glad that he managed to escape before the situation worsened.

"Thankfully, by over 6pm I had left and when (I was) coming out of the parking I saw the rain was heavy.

"My gut feeling said it will be flooded, and when I returned home I saw in WhatsApp that it was flooded. Thank you Allah," said Jo-Harry MJ in the comment section of the post.

The viral video garnered over 140 shares and over 90 comments at the time of writing.

It is believed that the water has subsided later in the evening.
