KUALA LUMPUR: A family is seeking the public's help to find a boy, 13, who went missing earlier today.

Thiagaraja Sankaran, 40, said he received a call from his daughter at 5.40am, saying that his son, Shree Ram Thiagaraja, had gone missing.

Thiagaraja, a security supervisor, was at work during the incident.

He said a closed-circuit television camera at their apartment showed that his son went out at 4.48am.

The boy didn't take anything with him and he wasn't wearing his spectacles, said the father.

"I have contacted his teacher and friends, but they have no idea where he is.

"This is the first time it has happened. My son has never done this before."

Those with information about the boy can contact Thiagaraja at 016-6783634 or visit a police station.
