KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor Red Giants maintained their 100 per cent record in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY) over the weekend.

Red Giants left no room for drama as they churned out a 2-0 win over RSG Malaysia at the MPL MY Arena in Serdang Jaya on Friday.

The win saw the Red Giants displacing King Empire Esports atop the table with 12 points. Red Giants have not dropped a single game en route to four wins from as many matches after three weeks of competition.

King Empire suffered a blow to their title chances after going down 2-0 to defending champions HomeBois on Saturday, the latter appearing to gain momentum after losing to Red Giants in the opening week.

Team Haq downed Niners 2-1 on Saturday, keeping the latter winless after five matches. Team Haq, however, lost 2-0 to Todak a day later.

Team Haq were able to remain third in the table with nine points. King Empire are second on 10, while Todak (eight points) and HomeBois (seven points) are fourth and fifth, respectively.

MPL MY achieved another attendance record over the weekend, with over 3,932 fans tuning up over the three-day period. The previous high of 3,500 was achieved during the opening week.

Another exciting round of matches are expected this week (week four) with the clash between defending champions HomeBois and three-time winners Todak set to be the focus of attention.
