HULU LANGAT: A hiker reported missing after falling into the river at Kem Lolo, Gunung Nuang, here yesterday, was found dead today (April 22).

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director of Operations, Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, said the body of the 36-year-old was found about four kilometres from the location where he fell.

Earlier, it was reported that a male hiker was reported missing after falling into the river.

His team received reports on the incident at 8.11pm last night.

Ahmad Mukhlis was quoted as saying that the second day of the SAR operation started from Kem Lolo to campsite 1, tracing the route of the river.

He added that the search was also conducted from the old dam, tracing the river to campsite 1.

Additionally, he said, the search was extended to Air Terjun Bomoh Ali with a total search distance covering seven kilometres.
