IPOH: Ipoh City Council has announced the 2024 edition of its annual assessment tax lucky draw programme.

For the 2024 edition, the draw will include 30 grand prizes including a Perodua Axia 1.0 E (MT), four 110cc motorcycles, and a 65-inch smart television. Additionally, there will be cash prizes totalling RM 99,000 to be won.

The Lucky Draw for Assessment Tax is not new to the residents of Ipoh, having become a staple incentive for many years.

It serves as a token of appreciation from the City Council to the residents who conscientiously fulfil their civic duties.

According to a Facebook post by Ipoh City Council, tax payments have seen a year-on-year increase, thanks in part to the enticement of its Lucky Draw program.

"The generous prizes given in this lucky draw program are also a token of appreciation and gratitude from the City Council to the taxpayers who fulfil their responsibilities to the city of Ipoh," the post read.

To qualify for the lucky draw, city residents must pay their annual assessment tax without any arrears through one of the city council's payment channels and register as users on the council's D-MBI mobile application, which is available for download on both Google Play and the App Store.

Residents can make payments at various locations including Ipoh City Council payment counters, post office payment counters, and Perak local authority counters, or they can opt to pay via the MBI website, PBTPay, Jompay, and internet banking.

"An additional perk for early birds is a rebate of up to RM5 for the first 20,000 payers, subject to terms and conditions.

"This is an initiative to encourage residents to pay early and enjoy a discount while still being eligible for the lucky draw.

"Residents of Ipoh are encouraged to make their payments promptly to participate in the 2024 Lucky Draw, which will conclude on Feb 29," the post read.
