KUALA LUMPUR: A motorcyclist died, while another was injured in an accident involving a motorcycle and a tow truck in Kuala Kubu Baru this morning.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director of Operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, said the incident occurred on the Kuala Kubu Baru-Rasa road near Palang Sari in Hulu Selangor.
He said that they received an emergency call about the accident at around 8.46am.
"A team of personnel from the Kuala Kubu Baru Fire and Rescue Station quickly rushed to the scene.
"Upon arrival, we found a motorcycle rider thrown onto the roadside after his machine is believed to have collided with a tow truck.
"At the same time, the truck driver in his 30s was trapped in the front seat," he said in a statement.
The motorcyclist in his 20s was confirmed dead at the scene by the medical team from the Ministry of Health.
"The victim's body has been handed over to the police to be taken to the nearby hospital," he added.
