BATU KAWAN: The New Straits Times Press' dinosaur-themed booth at Karnival Jom Heboh here was the main attraction for visitors especially children to experience the 'robotic' dinosaurs show at a very reasonable price.

Most of the visitors, when met, did not expect that the entrance fee charged was only RM20 for one family which they considered affordable.

A factory worker, Mohd Hafizal Mohd Reza, 38 said he and his wife, Fatin Amalina Mohd Harami, 33 brought their three children aged between three and eight when they learned that there was a dinosaur show.

"My youngest son is very interested in dinosaurs and he has a large collection of these toys at home.

"When I found out there was a show (dinosaurs) at Jom Heboh, I didn't want to miss this opportunity and was surprised when the entrance fee was only RM20 for a family and it was worth it.

"As we all know, it is hard to get such an entrance fee rate in Penang. Such effort should continue so that more people can enjoy this opportunity," he said when met here, today.

Earlier, visitors who purchased Dinoland tickets will also be given a newspaper copy from the NSTP group namely NST, Berita Harian (BH) and Harian Metro (HM) as well as bottled drinking water and many other interesting products for free donated by the sponsors of the company group that.

At the same time, they are also eligible to enter a lucky draw session that offers various attractive prizes.

Meanwhile, NSTP (M) Bhd group managing editor Datuk Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman said he hoped that the response from the people of Penang would continue until tomorrow before the closing ceremony officiated by Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.

"The carnival will close its curtain in less than 48 hours, so don't miss the opportunity to create beautiful memories with your family by taking interesting pictures at the carnival," he said.

Visitor Nur Akidah Abdullah, 29, from Kulim, Kedah said that she and her sister, Nur Amylia Abdullah, 23, had never missed the opportunity to come and support the carnival.

"We love this carnival because we like to shop here just to collect recycled bags for each brand that we participate in this carnival.

"The goods here are also cheaper than in the market, which is why this carnival has been our family's choice since it was organised a long time ago.

"After all, it has been a long time since there was no carnival in the northern states due to the Covid-19 pandemic and when we found out there was one in Batu Kawan, we decided to come because it is not too far from Kulim," she said.
