PENAMPANG: Almost 100 vehicles were left submerged in floods following incessant rain here since about 1pm.
Among those affected were residents of Vista Kiranau who could not move their vehicles to higher ground.
Resident Liza Lazarus said that while the area was often flooded, it was not as bad as this time.
"The water level this time is quite deep and the flow is rapid, worse than in 1993 and 1999.
"Most of the cars were submerged as we could not move them to higher ground because the road was already blocked by other cars that were parked along the road.
Netizens have been sharing pictures and videos of inundated residential areas, impassable roads and landslips.
Among the affected areas are Sugud, Kivatu, Kasigui, and several other places.
