SEKINCHAN: A man was killed while another was injured in a road accident involving three vehicles at Jalan Besar-Sekinchan here today.

In the 5.50am incident, the 28-year-old victim, who was riding a motorcycle after crashing into two colliding lorries, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said his men were alerted to the incident at 5.59am and subsequently deployed seven firemen, an engine and a van.

"One of the lorry drivers, a 29-year-old, suffered a broke a leg. Rescuers took 40 minutes to extricate him from the wreckage. The motorcyclist, however, died on the spot," he said in a statement today.

The injured lorry driver was then sent to the nearest hospital for treatment.
