A tiger spotted at the Lenggor Forest Reserve in Kluang, Johor, recently does not seem to be afraid of humans or vehicles.

Based on a 1-minute 13-second video clip which went viral on Tuesday, passengers in a four-wheel drive (4WD) had stumbled upon the tiger in the said forest reserve.

The person who captured the video on Monday was heard saying that the tiger was about three metres away from the vehicle, and claimed that the big cat looked like it wanted to pounce on them.

They even honked at it, but the tiger did not budge and could still seen lying near a fallen tree.

Another similar video clip also emerged, which lasted 1 minute and 41 seconds, with several people claiming that it was taken at 12.27pm on Monday.

He said Perhilitan had deployed its officers to the Lenggor Forest Reserve to keep tabs on the tiger, which was a protected species

"I urge the public who come across the protected animal to immediately inform the nearest Perhilitan office. This is to avoid any untoward incident. We are still looking into why the tiger made its appearance," he said.

On Sept 21, a tiger and a leopard were sighted at the Bukit Sedanan Permanent Forest Reserve in Selandar, Melaka.

Based on Melaka Perhilitan's reconnaissance, the two big cats did not cause any disturbance or conflict with humans.
