KUALA LUMPUR: Pos Malaysia Bhd has released its fourth ‘Unique Structures’ series of stamps and other products, continuing its highlight of Malaysia’s iconic bridges.

The series’ RM0.60 stamps showcase the Sultan Abdul Jalil Shah Bridge in Perak and the Tamparuli Bridge in Sabah.

The RM0.80 stamps feature the Seri Wawasan Bridge in Putrajaya and the Darul Hana Bridge in Sarawak.

“We chose these bridges based on their unique designs… as well as for their historical value.

“Bridges have been part of modern human civilization since the Mesopotamian era, and is a means of connectivity between two or more destinations.

“The structures were enhanced by the ingenuity of the ancient Romans and today, bridges play important roles in communication, development and socio-economic growth,” said stamp and philately unit, retail commercial manager Norsad Saad.

Only 28,000 bridge stamps will go on sale on June 28.

The First Day Cover (FDC), which comes with a free brochure, will be sold at RM0.50 each and will only be available on the release day.

Customers can also purchase folder sets complete with all Unique Structures bridge products for RM65.30 each.
