SUBANG JAYA: Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) will have 39 staff on standby for emergency cases and natural disaster during this festive season.

The staff comprise of seven personnel from its Swift Action Team (Pasukan Tindakan Segera or Pantas), Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Department (four), Engineering Department (12 staff) and Management Service Department (eight).

Council deputy president, Mohd Zulkurnain Che Ali, said it was a proactive measure for emergency situations including flash floods and falling trees during Raya.

“Our team will be the first to be deployed during emergency situations. Our men will also respond swiftly when we receive calls or complaints from residents,” he said.

The team, which include council’s technical personnel, was also assigned to monitor basic municipal services and provide assistance to security government agencies.
