KUALA LUMPUR: A driver of a four-wheel drive Toyota Hilux was killed and two others were seriously injured in a road crash involving seven vehicles, including an express bus at Kilometre 425.6 of the North-South Expressway (southbound) near the Sungai Buloh Hospital, here, last night.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director (Operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the two people were seriously injured in the crash which occurred at about 11.30pm were a passenger in the Toyota Hilux and the driver of a Honda Accord car.

Mukhlis said six other people sustained minor injuries in the crash and they were sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment.

"All 24 passengers and the two drivers of the express bus, however, did not suffer any injuries," he said in a statement today.

According to him, a team of 11 firefighters from the Rawang Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the scene following a distress call at 11.37 pm and the operation was completed at 1.15 am today.
