KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia got off to a flying start in the women's Indoor Hockey Asia Cup, scoring impressive wins in Group A in Chonburi, Thailand, today.

Rodzhanizam Mat Radzi's side started their campaign by hammering Vietnam 25-0.

They followed up with a 12-1 win over Oman in their second match.

Malaysia will wrap up their group fixtures against Kazakhstan and Iran tomorrow.

The champions will earn a ticket to the Indoor World Cup in Croatia next year.

Rodzhanizam was pleased to see his team recording huge wins today.

"The wins will give my players more confidence as they play tougher opponents tomorrow," he said.
