KUALA LUMPUR: Defending champions Malaysia exacted sweet revenge on Sea Games champions Indonesia with a hard fought 5-4 win in a men's Indoor Hockey Asia Cup Group B match to qualify for the next round in Taldykorgan, Kazakhstan.

Malaysia, who lost to Indonesia in last year's Phnom Penh Sea Games final, scored through Najmi Farizal Jazlan (fourth, 29th), Firdaus Omar (ninth), Aslam Hanafiah (20th) and Faridzul Afiq (35th).

Revo Priliandro (24th) and Muhamad Alfiana (31st, 32nd) and Adi Leksono (37th) replied for Indonesia.

In an earlier match, Malaysia fought back from 3-1 down to hold Kazakhstan to a 3-3 draw.

Kazakhstan, who outplayed Indonesia 6-2, also qualified for the next round.

Iran and Thailand finished top two in Group A and will join Malaysia and Kazakhstan in the next round.
