TEMERLOH: Dangerous motorcyclists are at it again on the East Coast Expressway 1 (ECE1) near here with social media footage of riders performing a "Superman" stunt allegedly near the Lanchang toll plaza exit on Feb 4.

This is the second case in less than three months reported in Temerloh.

The incident was uploaded on Facebook.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mazlan Hassan said the department was alerted about the one-minute video at 2.25pm yesterday.

He said police detained a 25-year-old food delivery rider from Taman Datuk Harun, Selangor last night to assist in investigations.

"The suspect was nabbed in Petaling Jaya. He will be remanded today to help police identify the others in the convoy.

"The footage captured by the dashboard camera of a vehicle showed the riders performing the 'superman' stunt by lying flat on the motorcycle seat. Their action was posing a danger to other road users," he said in a statement today.

Mazlan said the case was being investigated under Section 42 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

On Dec 29 last year, four motorcyclists including a juvenile were charged in Temerloh for allegedly riding their machines recklessly on the ECE1 on Dec 24. They claimed trial.

One of the youths who was performing the 'Superman' stunt suddenly lost control of his machine, leading the others to fall behind him at high speed.
