KUALA LUMPUR: Ex-Community Communications Department (J-Kom) director-general Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff will have his statement taken at the Kajang police headquarters today over a lewd video clip that has gone viral.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said Agus is scheduled to appear there about 2pm.

He said another man featured in the lewd video, Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jilani, will be called in soon.

Razarudin said police are still trying to ascertain the identity of "Mr H", who is claimed to be the mastermind behind the spread of the video.

"We will also call in others (apart from Agus and Wahab) to assist investigations," he said.

A clip of Agus and Wahab's conversation of a sexual nature went viral recently, just hours after the J-Kom chief confirmed his resignation.

Both of them had denied the authenticity of the video, claiming that the audio had been doctored by someone they identified as Mr H.

Wahab claimed that he was lured by Mr H through promises of positions in a government department if he was willing to frame Agus.

He claimed that he was instructed by Mr H to record a video conversation with Agus to obtain evidence of Agus' involvement in immoral and illicit activities.
