BUTTERWORTH: A 14-year-old boy was charged at the Sessions Court here today with sodomising a store helper in a toilet of a sports centre in Mak Mandin here.
The teenager pleaded guilty to the offence before Judge Noor Aini Yusof in a closed door proceedings.
He was alleged to have sodomised a16-year-old in the toilet of Pusat Sukan Bola-Bola, Taman Cantik here, about 9pm on Oct 18.
The charge was under Section 377A of the Penal Code which is carnal intercourse against the order of nature, which carries a jail term of up to 20 years and also liable to caning.
Noor Aini set bail at RM2,000 and fixed Dec 20 for sentencing.
The boy’s father posted bail.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Nazratul Natrah Mohd Yusof prosecuted while the accused was not represented.
It was reported that the victim lodged a report on Oct 24, claiming to have been sodomised while waiting for his employer.
The accused had threatened to assault the victim if he refused to follow his commands.
The victim then related the incident to his father, and they met the accused’s family to discuss the matter.
The victim’s father, however, was threatened about lodging a report.
