SEPANG: The British Airways flight BA 0033 from London to Malaysia, carrying some 200 passengers, arrived safely at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, here at 2.35pm today.

This is the first time the British Airways landed at KLIA in 14 years as the airline last flew to the Malaysian capital in 2001.

The non-stop route in the long-range 777-200ER aircraft offered customers a choice of four cabins – First and Club World business cabin featuring award-winning flat beds, World Traveller Plus premium economy and World Traveller economy cabin.

The daily service from Terminal 5 featured 12 seats in First, 48 in Club World, 32 in World Traveller Plus and a further 127 in World Traveller.

Present to greet the arrival of the passengers was Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abdul Aziz Kaprawi.

To celebrate the occasion, British Airways is offering special fares to London, the UK and Europe from Kuala Lumpur starting from just RM3,088 for travel between May 28 and November 30.

The fares are valid for booking until 16 June 2015.
