SHAH ALAM: The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) is reviewing the terms of an abrupt contract termination of 19 former PKNS Holdings Sdn Bhd employees in February last year.

In a statement released today, PKNS said the decision to review the termination was made by the management in consequence of a board meeting chaired by Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali.

To date, three out of the 19 former employees had file a review application to PKNS and are given the chance to serve the corporation through its subsidiary companies based on their qualification and terms of service.

It was believed that two of them are currently working for PKNS while the other one is in Datumcorp International, a PKNS subsidiary.

At the same time, PKNS is conducting interviews with another four of the employees involved with the incident in light of suitable vacancies at its subsidiary companies.

The board meeting also decided that PKNS will review the proposal for an out-of-court settlement for the remaining 12 employees.

It is understood that all the employees of PHSB received their dismissal letters during a meeting with the management after coming to work as usual. The letters of termination were personally signed by PHSB chairman, Datin Paduka Norazlina Zakaria.
