ALOR STAR: Police arrested a 35-year-old unemployed man for possession of 455 grams of heroin last night.
Kota Star police chief Assistant Commissioner Adzaman Md Jan the man who was riding a motorcycle aroused the suspicion of the police as he was carrying a mysterious package lodged between his legs and was detained at Jalan Batu 10, of Jalan Langgar heading towards Pokok Sena at 11.40pm.
The drugs, worth between RM6,000 and RM7,000, are believed to be supplied from Penang.
The suspect who has 11 previous criminal records was being remanded until September 14.
The offence is classified under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
