KUALA LUMPUR: CHEN Long of China, won his maiden Maybank Malaysia Open title, following his 20-22, 21-13, 21-11 win over compatriot Lin Dan in the men's singles final today.

The world No 1 bagged home US$37,500 (RM135,934) in prize money while two-time Olympic champion Lin Dan settled for US$19,000 (RM68,873).

China had already won the women's doubles title through Luo Ying-Luo Yu and the mixed doubles through Zhang Nan-Zhao Yunlei.
