JEMPOL: After going missing for 20 days, a Form One student from a school in Rembau was found in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.

Muhammad Danish Darwish Dasuki Muhammad Addam, 13, the eldest of four siblings, is now back with his family in Batu Kikir after his father located him around 1am.

His father, Muhammad Addam Wahab, 30, said he received information from an acquaintance about his son's whereabouts through a social media post shared by Kuching City football player Joseph Kalang Tie.

"I contacted him (Joseph) and confirmed that the teenager was my son. I immediately rushed to Kuala Lumpur from Terengganu to search for him in the Pudu, Chow Kit, and surrounding areas.

"Alhamdulillah, Danish was found at Dataran Merdeka," he said when contacted today.

Addam expressed his gratitude that Danish is in good health, although he is not yet ready to discuss the reasons behind his disappearance.

"Whatever the reason, we are relieved that Danish has finally returned to the family. Thank you to everyone who tirelessly provided information about Danish's whereabouts," he said, mentioning that he had gone to Terengganu after hearing claims that Danish might be there.

Joseph, in a post on Wednesday, said he encountered the teenager while doing morning exercises with teammates. Netizens later informed him that the teenager had been missing since June 9.

Meanwhile, Rembau police chief Deputy Superintendent Shaik Abd Kadar Shaik Mohamed confirmed that throughout the teenager's disappearance, he was safe and not confined or harmed.

"His father will transfer him to a school near their home in Jempol," he said.

Earlier, Danish's disappearance was noticed by the school warden around 11pm, after discovering that the student was absent during roll call.
