KUALA LUMPUR: Rosé of BlackPink has signed to The Black Label founded and led by Teddy Park, who is a longtime producer for the popular K-pop girl group.

According to Soompi, The Black Label released a statement on Tuesday to confirm that the 27-year-old singer had signed a "management contract" with the K-pop agency.

It added that the agreement was "based on deep trust between producer Teddy Park and the artiste named Rosé".

"Rosé is currently preparing to meet global fans with new music, and she plans to engage in music activities worldwide in collaboration with a global record label going forward.

"We promise to provide full support to ensure that Rosé can be active in various fields," said the company in the statement.

Park had previously worked on Rosé's 2021 debut solo single album, R, and is also known as the powerhouse producer behind some of BlackPink's massive hits, such as Pink Venom, How You Like That, and Kill This Love.

Rosé is the only BlackPink member to not establish her own label after the K-pop quartet made the decision to not renew their individual contracts with longtime agency YG Entertainment.

However, the girl group had signed on once more with YG Entertainment for an "exclusive contract for group activities".

In December 2023, Jennie established her own solo company Odd Atelier (OA), while Jisoo and Lisa followed suit in February 2024 with Blissoo and LLOUD, respectively.
