KUALA LUMPUR: Director and actor Datuk Yusry Abdul Halim has confirmed that his wife, Datin Lisa Surihani is pregnant with their third child.
However, he did not disclose how far along she was in her pregnancy.
Speculation of the pregnancy arose after Yusry, 47, uploaded a new photo of them together yesterday to mark their ninth wedding anniversary.
The post read: "Happy Anniversary Sayang. 9 years on, I still feel like the luckiest man alive. I'm still amazed by you... everything you do & say. Always so kind, caring, loving & supporting. And our kids are so blessed to have you to call mummy."
From there, eagle-eyed fans questioned whether Lisa, 34, was carrying their latest progeny.
"There were sharp eyes who could seem to tell that Lisa was with child. The uploaded picture caused some speculation, but that's alright, it's a good thing, people would have found out eventually anyway.
"Praise be to God, Yahaira Leanne and Yusof Leonne will have a younger sibling not long now. I hope fans will pray for the best for us," he said in a news report yesterday.
Yusry later added another post online to confirm the good news.
Part of the lengthy entry read: "The good news was initially only shared with family members and close friends. We had no intention of keeping it a secret, we just thought that for this time around we would not make any announcement yet."
He added: "We didn't want to feel self-important in this matter. We know that there are couples out there who were fated to have children much later, we had also gone through that phase."
"It's not something easy at all. My wife and I pray that God will bless those that are still hoping to have children with good news," he said.
Yusry and Lisa got married on Feb 23 2012 and are blessed with two children, Yahaira Leanne, 5, and Yusof Leonne, 3.
