KUALA LUMPUR: Popular comedian Harith Iskander has asked to be given some time before explaining his current marital troubles.
News of his marriage being on the rocks broke after his wife, Dr Jezamine Lim, confirmed that she had filed for divorce at the Federal Territories Syariah Lower Court, here, last month.
When queried on the matter by Berita Harian via a WhatsApp message, Harith simply replied: "We will issue a statement soon."
He added: "Thank you for the call or message. I apologise for the late reply. We'll be making an announcement soon and you'll be the first to know."
"Thank you very much for your patience," he said in the Berita Harian report today.
It was reported on July 9 that Dr Jezamine had filed for divorce against her husband.
Harith and Dr Jezamine, 41, tied the knot on June 12, 2010.
The couple are blessed with three children, Zander Xayne, 14, Alessandra Jayne, 11, and Zydane Zayne, 9.
