KUALA LUMPUR: Ever wondered what our country’s leaders would look like if their wardrobe were to get a hipster makeover?
A series of illustrations depicting the new cabinet ministers dressed to the nines in hipster clothing, done by illustrator and creative director Aizat Paharodzi gave us a glimpse of what that would entail.
Aizat illustrated his fashionable take on Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir, Deputy Prime Minister and Women and Family Development Minister Datuk Seri Wan Azizah, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng, Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, and Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu which he shared through his Instagram account (@aizat.phrdz) and Twitter.
The photos, instantly garnered the attention of Netizens who were amused by his creativity.
Based on an online portal, Aizat said he was inspired by popular artist Amit Shimoni who previously illustrated a re-imagined image of President of the United States, Donald Trump.
“Many had suggested that I draw YB Syed Saddiq and Nurul Izzah too, but I’m considering to illustrate leaders of the opposition party, becasue Syed Saddiq and Nurul Izzah are already part of the youth,” he said.
